Junshan Silver Needle belongs to yellow tea, and its production process still maintains the traditional craftsmanship of ancient times (Yuezhou Huanglingmao). The process includes 10 steps, including withering, spreading, initial drying, cooling, initial packaging, re drying, re spreading, re packaging, foot drying, and picking, which take about 72 hours. The key process for forming golden buds and unique aroma is the yellowing process of package drying and fermentation, which is divided into two steps: initial packaging and re packaging.
